About Us
At Impressions Dance Company, our mission is to inspire students of all ages to develop a lifelong love of dance while instilling values of perseverance, teamwork, determination, and self-discipline. Through creative expression and a supportive community, we aim to foster a child’s confidence and character, preparing them for success on and off the dance floor.
Meet the Team
Artistic Director
Sarah McBride
Sarah McBride began dancing at the age of 5. She was formally trained in jazz, contemporary, acro, tap, hip-hop, ballet, pointe, and circus. She has performed for Disney and the Sailor Circus in addition to competing in dance competitions. Sarah began choreographing a wide variety of genres of dance for children ages 2-18 when she was 15 years old. In 2008, she graduated from University of South Florida in Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and has years of experience in the public and private school system. She currently teaches all styles of dance and is an award-winning choreographer. Sarah also travels as a dance competition judge to bring inspiration through education to dancers all over the country. Inspiring dancers through education is her passion. Her mission for IDC is to help students recognize their potential and reach it while building self-confidence and promoting character so they may leave a lasting impression on others.

Alessandra Gregoire-Baker
Alessandra Gregoire-Baker started dancing when she was 8 years old, and soon after started to dance competitively around the country. Ali is formally trained in jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and ballet. Ali is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in children’s mental health. While attending USF, she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority, and choreographed a number of performances for philanthropic events. She also has years of experience teaching competition dance in all styles. She is very excited to be a part of Impressions Dance Company and can’t wait to see what is in store for this season!

Megan Lebeau
Megan Lebeau began taking dance lessons at the age of five. When she was nine, Megan joined a competitive dance team that traveled throughout the state of Florida. She attended numerous workshops, where she was provided the opportunity to train under many well-known dancers and choreographers. Over the years, Megan studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, pointe, acrobatics, circus, and gymnastics. In 2010, she graduated from Warner University with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and exceptional education. She taught at the elementary level for five years, and is now teaching at her alma mater, Charlotte High School. Megan loves working with children, helping them build confidence and a love for learning. She is looking forward to an amazing season with IDC!

Danielle Mullins
Danielle Mullins began dancing at the age of three under the direction of Jim Caisse, and is trained in all dance disciplines including ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and modern. She has performed and competed throughout New England, in Bermuda, at Epcot, and aboard the Norwegian Majesty cruise ship. Danielle is a graduate of Fitchburg State College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business management, and she also studied at Franklin Pierce University for one year under a theater and performing arts major. She obtained her Dance Teacher Certification through Dance Educators of America’s Teacher Certification Program in New York City, and has worked as an assistant director and director of numerous successful dance programs throughout central Massachusetts. Proving her dedication, she continues to keep her skills current by attending various dance classes and workshops. Today, and for the past 18 years, her passion is teaching and sharing the world of dance with others.

Amber Slay
Amber Slay began her dance training at the age of 7. She is trained in many styles including Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, and Tap. She has experience teaching different ages, styles, and levels. She was a competitive dancer for 8 years and attended a magnet high school for visual and performing arts. In 2023, she graduated from Jacksonville University with a BFA in Dance, Summa Cum Laude, and Departmental Honors in dance. She is passionate about challenging her dancers while encouraging them to have fun. She loves to emphasize details and movement quality in her class. Amber is excited to join IDC for their 2024/2025 season!

Brandi Rutherford
Brandi Rutherford brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for dance and education to Impressions Dance Company. With a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and certification as an Exceptional Student Educator, Brandi has dedicated over 20 years to teaching. She currently teaches at Atwater Elementary School, where she has positively impacted countless young minds. Beyond her role in education, Brandi has an impressive background in dance and athletics. She was once a cherished cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins, where she honed her skills in performance and movement. Her experiences as a cheerleader have instilled in her a profound understanding of discipline, teamwork, and the artistry of movement.
Brandi is deeply committed to nurturing a love for dance in children of all ages. She seamlessly integrates her classroom experience into her dance instruction at IDC, fostering an environment where young dancers not only learn technique but also grow as individuals. Her approach is characterized by patience, encouragement, and a genuine desire to see each dancer thrive.
